Le tenute meccaniche possono presentare diverse <strong>forme di usura<\/strong>. Problemi derivanti da una errata selezione dei materiali possono essere <strong>rigonfiamenti degli elastomeri<\/strong> (swelling), e in questo caso ad aggravare il problema intervengono le temperature elevate e i tempi prolungati di esposizione. Se questo valore viene superato, la pressione elevata pu\u00f2 danneggiare irreversibilmente la tenuta. Infine, attenzione anche al senso di rotazione della pompa, onde evitare la <strong>rottura della molla<\/strong>.
