{"id":9789,"date":"2024-01-19T12:21:24","date_gmt":"2024-01-19T11:21:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/?p=9789"},"modified":"2024-01-19T12:21:24","modified_gmt":"2024-01-19T11:21:24","slug":"calculation-formula-of-the-thermal-buffer-tank-in-chillers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/9789\/calculation-formula-of-the-thermal-buffer-tank-in-chillers\/","title":{"rendered":"Calculation formula of the thermal buffer tank in chillers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Let&#8217;s bring back a subject that has been already treated in a <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/6K6dL2T_o4s?si=IE70jWgt6tvrU1Rj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>previous video<\/strong><\/a> on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@TempcoItalia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Tempco YouTube channel<\/strong><\/a> explaining <strong>how to calculate the buffer volume in chillers<\/strong>, which is the <strong>volume of a thermal buffer tank<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIndeed, someone pointed out that there were no <strong>formula explaining how to calculate it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s start saying that it is first of all a check, because during the design step, we need to know some informations and data: these are the working temperature of the chiller which is the <strong>temperature of the cold water<\/strong> that the chiller is intended to provide and that is going to be stored inside the tank. Furthermore, the <strong>temperature of the warm fluid<\/strong> arriving from the process. The <strong>overall volume of the plant<\/strong> and the <strong>buffer tank volume<\/strong> we have estimated.
