{"id":8375,"date":"2021-11-26T11:59:11","date_gmt":"2021-11-26T10:59:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/?p=8375"},"modified":"2021-11-26T11:59:11","modified_gmt":"2021-11-26T10:59:11","slug":"energy-saving-with-dry-cooler-for-pharmaceutical-packaging","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/8375\/energy-saving-with-dry-cooler-for-pharmaceutical-packaging\/","title":{"rendered":"Energy saving with dry cooler for pharmaceutical packaging"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019ve talked recently about the customized <a href=\"https:\/\/en.tempco.it\/solutions-en\/thermo-regulating-units\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>thermoregulating solution<\/strong><\/a> we have deployed for a customer that manufacturers plastic containers for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/8289\/thermoregulation-in-plastic-packaging-for-pharmaceuticals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>packaging of pharmaceutical products<\/strong><\/a>. For the same customer, we have studied a further technological upgrade applied to the <strong>presses employed for plastic moulding<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This is in fact an intervention aimed to implement <strong>energy saving in the production of plastic packaging for the pharma industry<\/strong>. The customer produces containers and plastic bottles for the pharma and cosmetic sector, requiring <strong>very high quality standards<\/strong> in the production lines in order to ensure excellent characteristics of <strong>transparency and material stability<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8371\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/energy-saving-presse-stampaggio-pharma.jpg\" alt=\"energy saving presse stampaggio pharma\" width=\"737\" height=\"1004\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/energy-saving-presse-stampaggio-pharma.jpg 737w, https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/energy-saving-presse-stampaggio-pharma-220x300.jpg 220w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 737px) 100vw, 737px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The study for an energy saving solution in this kind of production line led us to focus on the <strong>temperature of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/6172\/the-5-must-to-do-point-to-start-up-treg-hce-hcst-o-oh-diathermic-oil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">diathermic oil<\/a><\/strong>, which has to be maintained at a temperature of <strong>approx. 40\u00b0 C<\/strong>. Therefore the intervention we did involved the <strong>substitution of old <a href=\"https:\/\/en.tempco.it\/definitions\/thermal-machines\/chiller-or-refrigerator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">refrigerating groups<\/a><\/strong>, high power consuming machines, with more efficient and economic <strong>dry-coolers<\/strong>. This solutions involved in particular the substitution of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.tempco.it\/thermal-machines-selection\/heat-exchangers-en\/comparison-between-plate-heat-exchangers-and-shell-and-tube\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shell and tube exchangers<\/a>, that were previously employed on the moulding presses, with an equal quantity of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.tempco.it\/solutions-en\/heat-exchangers\/brazed-plate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>brazed plate heat exchangers<\/strong><\/a>. These kind of exchangers allow indeed a very high degree of temperature cross, enabling to maintain the temperature of the oil at 40\/42\u00b0 C employing a <strong>cooling solution (water\/antifreeze) at 35\/37\u00b0 C<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The test completed during the past summer on the first example line of machines gave a positive result.
