These special heat exchangers are aimed for <strong>immersion within geothermal wells<\/strong> in a natural park with thermal water in the <strong>Naples<\/strong> area.<\/p>\n<p>Geothermal heat pumps, also called <strong>ground source <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/6889\/what-is-and-how-it-works-a-heat-pump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">heat pumps<\/a><\/strong>, are a particular kind of heat pumps employing <strong>ground or water as a renewable energy source<\/strong>, instead of air, offering interesting levels of energy saving.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7738\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Tempco-scambiatori-a-serpentino.jpg\" alt=\"Tempco scambiatori a serpentino\" width=\"640\" height=\"488\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>geoexchange<\/strong> uses the earth as a heat reservoir, thanks to the characteristic that the ground underneath the earth\u2019s surface maintains a nearly constant temperature throughout the whole year, not being affected by daily or seasonal variations of the external temperature. A geothermal heat pump therefore <strong>transfers heat from the ground or water<\/strong>, or from thermal water for instance, providing <strong>heating during the winter<\/strong> and lowering costs and the use of fossil fuels, while it dissipates heat giving it back to the ground for <strong>cooling and conditioning<\/strong> during the summer.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7741\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Tempco-scambiatori-serpentino-pompe-geotermiche.jpg\" alt=\"Tempco scambiatori serpentino pompe geotermiche\" width=\"640\" height=\"491\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These particular exchangers employ heat pump water as thermal transfer fluid with the brackish water of the well. We chose the <strong>coil type<\/strong> because of the very narrow size of the well, only 220 mm in width, that made it impossible to employ <a href=\"https:\/\/en.tempco.it\/solutions-en\/heat-exchangers\/dimple-jacket\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TCOIL dimple jacket plate exchangers<\/a>.
