Drift separators are components employed in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/7169\/water-cooling-essentials-in-a-cooling-tower\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cooling towers<\/a> to <strong>limit water consumption<\/strong>, installed above the nozzles that provide the distribution of water. These components are intended to capture all the water droplets that otherwise would be drafted away by the air flow generated by the <strong>forced ventilation coming from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/7214\/energy-saving-ec-motors-and-cooling\/\">fans<\/a><\/strong> inside the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/3403\/how-does-a-cooling-tower-work-and-how-much-water-does-it-use\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">evaporative tower<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bvgmtvlXOHc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Construction materials are similar to those employed for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/7241\/filling-options-in-cooling-towers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>filling packs<\/strong><\/a>, being traditional plastic materials such as <strong>PVC<\/strong> and <strong>polypropylene<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<strong>Thermoformed droplets eliminators<\/strong> is the most employed typology. Also <strong>parallel fins separators<\/strong> do exist, but they offer slightly lower efficiency and are usually employed in other types of separation systems, not really much in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/5410\/cooling-tower-water-parameters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">evaporative towers<\/a>.
