In this case we face the problem applied to the heating or cooling load for a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.tempco.it\/solutions-en\/thermo-regulating-units\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>thermoregulating unit<\/strong><\/a> on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/5984\/temperature-control-in-pharmaceutical-preparers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>pharmaceutical reactor<\/strong><\/a>.<br \/>\nThere is a wide range of machinery and equipments in use in the pharma and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/5453\/dimple-plate-jacket-from-chemical-and-beyond\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chemical industry<\/a>, and the calculation method of the heating and cooling load depends on the kind of machine employed.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, the most common way is to consider the <strong>volume of the reactor<\/strong> to be thermoregulated, and the physical properties of the <strong>kind of product<\/strong> processed, in particular its specific weight and specific heat capacity. Following, the <strong>heating and cooling curves<\/strong> required by the application must be known, that is the starting and final temperatures to be reached, and the <strong>time frame required<\/strong> to complete the heating and cooling cycles of the products.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/aFEOE6afkKw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>At this point the calculation is obtained with a <strong>simple formula<\/strong>, multiplying the volume of the product x specific weight x specific heat capacity, multiplied x the temperature change, and all divided by the time unit. The resulting are the kcal, or kw\/h required to heat or cool the product. The formula must then be <strong>applied to all the up and down temperature ramps<\/strong>, to find out the most challenging one that will serve as base for the correct sizing of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/7054\/first-start-up-of-a-thermoregulating-unit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thermoregulating unit<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Another case is represented by the <strong>distillation of products<\/strong>.
