And we welcome you in the 2019 with a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.tempco.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>new Tempco logo<\/strong><\/a>, to be properly focused on in a future post of our blog.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/data-center-cooling.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6646\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/data-center-cooling.jpg\" alt=\"data center cooling\" width=\"714\" height=\"390\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/data-center-cooling.jpg 714w, https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/data-center-cooling-300x164.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 714px) 100vw, 714px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Talking about <strong>cooling in data centers<\/strong>, we recently found an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerounoweb.it\/techtarget\/searchdatacenter\/raffreddamento-a-liquido-dei-data-center-la-ricerca-sui-fluidi-risponde-alla-crescente-densita-di-potenza\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">interesting article online<\/a> that explains how the <strong>power increase in data center\u2019s racks<\/strong> is becoming a problem for traditional <a href=\"https:\/\/en.tempco.it\/solutions-en\/industrial-coolers-electroradiators\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>air cooling systems<\/strong><\/a>, promoting the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/6032\/the-return-of-fluid-cooling-in-data-centers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>growth of liquid cooling<\/strong><\/a>, a topic we\u2019ve already faced in the past months. A <strong>Gartner<\/strong> statement reported affirms that the air cooling is no more able to achieve the necessary <strong>heat dissipation<\/strong> in data centers where the electrical consumption is increasing by 16 up to 20 kilowatt for each rack. An increase in energy intensity that affects all data centers around the world, with liquid cooling solutions growing at a rate of 25%.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>higher efficiency ensured by liquid cooling<\/strong> solutions is naturally due to the fact that fluids can carry heat better than air, offering an efficiency in <strong>heat transfer<\/strong> 50 to 1.000 times higher. Liquid cooling offers a range of solutions, including <strong>water<\/strong> and special <strong>non-conductive fluids<\/strong>, and also the new groundbreaking innovations in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/6306\/nanofluids-for-increased-cooling-efficiency\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>nanofluids<\/strong><\/a>, special thermal fluids on which R&amp;D around the world is very committed, able to increase conductivity and heat transfer capacity of common thermal fluids by the addition of <strong>metallic nanoparticles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/raffreddamento-a-liquido-data-center.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6647\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/raffreddamento-a-liquido-data-center.jpg\" alt=\"raffreddamento a liquido data center\" width=\"621\" height=\"414\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/raffreddamento-a-liquido-data-center.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/raffreddamento-a-liquido-data-center-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/raffreddamento-a-liquido-data-center-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 621px) 100vw, 621px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In liquid cooling for data centers, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.tempco.it\/solutions-en\/heat-exchangers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>heat exchangers<\/strong><\/a> can be installed on the rear of the racks or by direct contact with hardware components, properly using non conductive fluids. A trailblazing and growing application is the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.tempco.it\/solutions-en\/heat-exchangers\/dimple-jacket\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>direct immersion of racks<\/strong><\/a> in dielectric fluids, or even the construction of <strong>underwater data centers<\/strong>, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerounoweb.it\/cloud-computing\/smart-city-il-futuro-sara-avere-dei-data-center-subacquei\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Natick project<\/a> of Microsoft or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/6632\/dimple-jacket-and-free-cooling-in-data-center-against-global-warming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">data center Green Mountain<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n<p>The trend raises <strong>new challenges for IT staff<\/strong>, traditionally scared by possible leaks of water and fluids in the presence of electrical devices. Elsewhere, the increase in computational power required from data centers is forcing to find new cooling solutions for servers and racks, employing water and liquids that are developed offering high security and protection for electrical components.
