The coating not only reflect the sunlight, lowering the temperature of exposed surfaces and rooftops, decreasing <strong>energy consumption of conditioning systems<\/strong>. The solution employs the sun rays to activate a chemical process able to transform fa\u00e7ades and rooftops in a sort of layer of ice, actively <strong>cooling them up to 10\u00b0 C<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The researchers engineered a coating that resulted in a two-layered paint, an outer element that filters out some of the sun\u2019s rays, and an inner one that <strong>converts heat to light<\/strong>, resulting in coolness below the ambient temperature. Lowering the <strong>building\u2019s emissions footprint<\/strong>, the solution could be easily employed in new constructions as well as in order to <strong>improve energy efficiency<\/strong> of existing ones.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Scambiatori-di-calore-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9181 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Scambiatori-di-calore-1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Scambiatori-di-calore-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Scambiatori-di-calore-1.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The coating could then also be <strong>used in space<\/strong>, to ward off heat resulting from the lack of air.
