The new design of the airbox increases the incoming air flow, in order to achieve maximum benefit from the high speed reached by F1 vehicles during races.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Ferrari-SF70H-new-airbox-Malaysia-F1-2017.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6073 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Ferrari-SF70H-new-airbox-Malaysia-F1-2017.jpg\" alt=\"Scambiatori air scoop Ferrari SF70H Malesia\" width=\"900\" height=\"679\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Ferrari-SF70H-new-airbox-Malaysia-F1-2017.jpg 900w, https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Ferrari-SF70H-new-airbox-Malaysia-F1-2017-300x226.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Ferrari-SF70H-new-airbox-Malaysia-F1-2017-768x579.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/a><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/5880\/automotive-test-bench\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>automotive industry<\/strong><\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/5922\/racing-motors-thermoregulation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>F1 Teams<\/strong><\/a> largely employ <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/en.tempco.it\/solutions-en\/heat-exchangers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">heat exchangers<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/en.tempco.it\/solutions-en\/industrial-coolers-electroradiators\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">radiators<\/a><\/strong> to cool down the temperature of the cooling fluid of the <strong>hybrid systems<\/strong>.\u00a0 The two added side areas involve a new design and concept of the overall intake system, supplying with fresh air the <strong>ERS<\/strong> (<strong>Energy recovery system<\/strong>) <strong>radiator<\/strong> and a <strong>new water-air heat exchanger<\/strong> that the Ferrari employes to cool the refrigerant inside the vehicle\u2019s hybrid systems.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Ferrari-FS70H-Malaysia-air-scoop.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6074 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Ferrari-FS70H-Malaysia-air-scoop.jpg\" alt=\"Ferrari SF70H new airbox \" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Ferrari-FS70H-Malaysia-air-scoop.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Ferrari-FS70H-Malaysia-air-scoop-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Ferrari-FS70H-Malaysia-air-scoop-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With latest generation power units, the dynamic air intake is indeed no longer just dedicated to the engine, bringing air to the cylinders, but it\u2019s also used to blow up several radiators and heat exchangers, implementing more effective circuits for the <strong>cooling water of the electric motor generators<\/strong> MGU-K and MGU-H, reaching even to cool the batteries.
