{"id":11344,"date":"2026-05-29T12:06:19","date_gmt":"2026-05-29T10:06:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/?p=11344"},"modified":"2026-05-29T12:06:19","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T10:06:19","slug":"ul-certified-temperature-control-unit-for-carbon-fiber-impregnation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/11344\/ul-certified-temperature-control-unit-for-carbon-fiber-impregnation\/","title":{"rendered":"UL-certified temperature control unit for carbon fiber impregnation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For an interesting customer application, involving the <strong>impregnation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/10387\/strength-and-resistance-with-thermoregulation-in-carbon-fiber-production\/\">carbon fibers<\/a><\/strong> and other specialty fibers, Tempco has designed and delivered a special <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/6172\/the-5-must-to-do-point-to-start-up-treg-hce-hcst-o-oh-diathermic-oil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">diathermic oil<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/en.tempco.it\/solutions-en\/thermo-regulating-units\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">temperature control unit<\/a><\/strong> with a <strong>maximum design temperature of 300\u00b0 C<\/strong>. The unit&#8217;s operating temperature is 250\u00b0C, with a heating power of 24 kW (12+12 UL).<\/p>\n<p>An important feature of this TCU is its construction in <strong>compliance with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/8197\/mono-fluid-thermoregulation-in-pharmaceutical-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UL regulations<\/a><\/strong>, which establish safety standards for electrical and electronic equipment for use in the <strong>North American market<\/strong>. The TCU&#8217;s power supply is 575V-3Ph-60Hz-3Ph+T. The oil circuit is finally served by a UL 100 liter, 30 meter, 2.8 kW <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tempco.it\/blog\/en\/8273\/magnetic-drive-pumps-to-ensure-safety-in-thermoregulation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>magnetic drive pump<\/strong><\/a>. The choice to use a magnetic drive pump, as an alternative to traditional mechanical seal pumps, is based on safety considerations.<\/p>\n<p>Magnetic drive pumps eliminate any type of mechanical coupling, instead using a magnetic coupling between the motor shaft and the pressurized oil in the pump impeller.
